Wow… I don’t know what to say about this book. It’s bad. Very bad.

It takes one of the Z-list X-Men to make a point that should be obvious to everyone.

There’s a bit with an Old Woman that speaks in riddles and makes a point of humiliating Namor in public, but none of it has anything to do with the issue at hand. What does her story have to do with the vampires?

The dialogue is almost overbearing. I didn’t know that atlanteans spoke in english slang and contractions.

Moore can’t pull off the smoldering chemistry between Namor and Emma. No where near what Fraction is capable of. In this book it just reads as bad fan fiction.

And the art is just as bad. The atlanteans have a technology that hasn’t been seen before. They have underwater computers, power drills and very techy looking cities. They can build devices that function underwater that appear to be metal and electronics?

Also, why do Atlanteans need to stand on the ground?

Namor must be close to his general, because in one shot they are both sharing the same throne.

And Emma Frost showing up in her normal outfit? Underwater? At those depths? She’d need a dive suit at the very least. Just bad. No attention to detail.

What a bad, bad book. It was painful to read.
