Lucid #1 review

I’m still trying to figure out what the title has to do with this story but it doesn’t really matter because I’m enjoying the story.

This issue explains a little more of the world and the mythos and weaving it through American history and Arthurian myth. Interesting stuff.

The characters are pretty well developed. Parts of this felt a little rushed, like establishing scenes were left out. A couple of spots seemed to jump, interupting the flow of the story. The resolution of this issue, not the overall story but just the plot of this issue, seemed rushed. It does lead to more questions, which is good.

This issue wasn’t as solid as the first one. Still a good read but not as strong. It’s hard to pin down what felt off about this issue, but something just didn’t click as well as the first.

The art felt rushed, not as strong as in the first issue. I’m still not a big fan of this style of art.

This was still a decent read, but not as strong as the first issue of the mini-series. It’s a premise that I’m really liking and look forward to seeing how the mini-series wraps up and if there will be future issues.
