This issue opens at the home of the Inua, the Northern Gods, of which Narya, Snowbird, is a member. They force Narya to flee and the Chaos King kills them all. Cut to the home of the Great Beasts, who work out a deal with Sasquatch. They know the Chaos King is coming for them and they want to flee to Earth where they can gain their full power and be able to stand against the Chaos King. They convince Sasquatch that they can restore the rest of Alpha Flight to life and in return Alpha Flight must protect the Great Beasts from the Chaos King’s forces until they regain their full strength. Sasquatch agrees.

In Bon Accord, Alberta Canada, Snowbird is wondering when Aurora and Northstar show up. They had been asleep like the rest of the world until they were summoned there. Sasquatch shows up with Vindicator, Guardian, Marrina and Shaman, restored to life. Shaman explains that he had been able to keep their souls from passing completely over in the hopes that someday they could be restored. Some of the team he was unable to “save”, including Puck (who is showing up in the Hell that Wolverine is trapped in, in Wolverine’s title).

The Chaos King’s minions show up and Alpha Flight attacks, but then they found out they are not the targets. The team debates over the idea of helping the Great Beasts. Sasquatch is worried that if they don’t, then the Great Beasts will lose and the dead Alpha Flight members will die again.

During the fighting, the citizens are converted into Wendigo’s at the command of the Great Beasts. Marrina is becoming more monstrous and Snowbird allows the Chaos King’s minions to slay Kariooo The Corruptor.

The team is split over what to do. Help the Great Beasts or allow them to be destroyed. This leads to fighting with Snowbird, Vindicator, Shaman and Northstar not wanting to help the Great Beasts, for fear they will become monsters themselves. After a bit of in-fighting the rest of the team agrees and they allow the Great Beasts to be destroyed.

Realizing without the Great Beasts, the dead Flight members will soon die again, they say their goodbyes. They are surprised to find that the dead members do not die. With all the Deaths in the pantheons destroyed, there is no more death. Alpha Flight takes off to join the Godsquad in the battle against the Chaos King.
