Joe fans are going to have a ball with this issue. There’s alot of characters in the background of this for people to identify.

I liked and didn’t like this issue.

Most of it was awesome. We see the Joes prepping for a mission, launching that mission, and getting into posistion for that mission. We see some of the planning, we get a look at some of the mission briefing, and we see a bit about how the Joes organize for a mission.

The sad part is that we don’t get to see too much of that mission.

The rest is taken up by Snake Eyes and Helix disobeying orders. First they join the group that gets scanned for potential travel through the MASS Device, then they steal their scans, and at the mission site they disobey orders and cause the Cobras to be sent back to Section Zero early, with them tagging along.

Thats the part I didn’t like. It’s setting it up so that SE and Helix will wipe out Section Zero and save the day. No. I wanted to see some real Joe action. I wanted to see Teams Alpha Thru November in action. I loved reading about how they are all getting set up, deployed, etc.. Now I want to see what happens when the bullets start flying and who exactly is in each team.

I don’t want to see Super Ninja and Super Girl solo. I want to see the Joes in action. I want bullets flying not swords. I hope I’m wrong and it doesn’t end up being what I think it will.

So the issue started off great but then it lost it at the end.

Everything leading up to the last 3 pages was great. I hope we get to see hardcore Joe action next issue.

Atkins art was the best I’ve seen his work. Highly detailed. All the Joes were unique and stood out. The failings were with the scenes with the Skyhawks as they just looked out of place and cramped in those few panels. The shots with the Joes themselves were dynamite. Now if he can just bring his vehicle work up to the level of his figures…

G.I. Joe #25 receives
4.5 out of 5

The last 3 pages have me worried about the next issue.
