The planned Wonder Woman tv series has been reportedly shelved after failing to land a network.

Deadline is reporting that Wonder Woman has been shelved, temporarily at least, because the first script was unable to land a network. This is reportedly due to “unfortunate timing” execs are saying.

David E. Kelley completed a pilot script that made the rounds on Wednesday. Fox and ABC passed because they are developing shows based on Marvel properties. The CW couldn’t afford it. CBS was split and NBC is in a state of flux well awaiting a new President of Programming.

The script could make the rounds again, but this means the project won’t make it onto the 2011 Fall schedule.
