“Heroes aren’t about looking back, they are about looking forward.” The masked mallard has a public relations crisis after the invasion and manipulation of multi-verse versions that plagued St. Canard.

This is a series built in nostalgia, but it rest as a nostalgia trip. The colorful adventures penned by Ian Brill have been refreshing familiar and delightfully new. Brill plays with that concept in the words of the ad man brought in to “save” the image of the hero. “Heroes aren’t about looking back, they are looking forward.” Familiar villain, Steelbeak, returns as Darkwing Duck fights public approval and crime.

Meanwhile, back on the local comic book shop shelves, Vol 1 of the 90s Darkwing Duck is available. Trades of the mini series that started this Darkwing revival are also available. As you’re buying the mallard that protects St. Canard, be ready for the new action that #9 continues to launch the third story arc.
