Secret Warriors #25
Published by: Marvel Comics
Written by: Jonathan Hickman
Art by: Alessandro Vitti

Hickman weaves his S.H.I.E.L.D. into Secret Warriors and it is awesome. We see the origins of Hydra and Leviathan and why Fury started Shield. It’s a shame this book is coming to an end soon and that Marvel is ignoring it.

The Boys #52
Published by: Dynamite Entertainment
Written by: Garth Ennis
Penciled by: John McCrea

Things are starting to heat up in The Boys. This issue we start to learn how Mallory came to create The Boys. A decent issue with some revelations but not much. The arc does promise more though.

X-Factor #216
Published by: Marvel Comics
Written by: Peter David
Penciled by: Emanuela Lupacchino

I like the speech Monet gives Spider-Man. It makes sense and have to wonder why no one ever mentioned it before. The scene between Jameson and Madrox is great. Another good example of how David keeps this book surprising.

Heroes For Hire #4
Published by: Marvel Comics
Written by: Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning
Penciled by: Robert Atkins

This issue was a little hard to follow with the trips through Misty’s mind. Seems a little too soon to be pulling her out of the Puppet Masters control. The art was solid. Glad to see Atkins getting more high profile work.

Green Lantern #63
Published by: DC Comics
Written by: Geoff Johns
Penciled by: Ed Bene and Ardian Syaf

A little confusing and hard to follow. It reads as if the Guardians are overreacting. I’m behind a couple issues of GL but it seems like this concern over Hal and the questioning of when he last took the ring off, have come out of left field.
