The story is okay. It’s narrated by the Watcher and the tone is hit or miss. Sometimes it has that lofty feel of the Watcher and other times it feels like one of my buddies talking.

But the art..

Seriously? Someone like this horrible stuff go?

The characters don’t even look like they are supposed to. The opening page of the Watcher? Since when did he get so fat?

When did Ms. Marvel have a costume change?

That page where Rogers says “Avenger’s Assemble” is really bad. The perspective is horrible. The characters are awkward. What the hell is the Valkyrie carrying? How is Spidey swinging from Iron Man?

People actually like the art that Romita Jr. is doing on this title?

Avengers #12 receives
1.5 out of 5

The story is more of a 3.5 but the art is just bad.
