This issue ends this chapter of the Locke & Key saga. The next chapter, Clockworks, begins in June.

Pieces come together, ends are tied up and the stage is set for the last chapter. Dodge is one step ahead of everyone.

Hill crafts an excellant story. He’s a top notch storyteller. The issue opens with a series of panels interspaced. On the left is EMTs trying to save a life. On the right is Dodge escaping with Bode Locke. It makes us think one thing, one bit of action, considering where the previous issue left off. We assume that the EMTs are trying to save the life of Tyler Locke or Detective Mutuku. The story then flashs back to Mutuku figuring out the clues. It then catches up with the end of last issue.

It’s all well plotted, well scripted and well laid out. Just a well done story. If you’re not reading Locke & Key then you’re missing out. It needs to be read. This is what comic books are meant to be, the perfect melding of story and art.

Rodriguez’s work is amazing. He’s got his own style that just fits the story. Each page works with the script, adding depth to the entire thing.
