This are heating up. Events are moving quickly. The Seal has been broken and the President has been assasinated.

This issue slows things down, somewhat. We’re giving some glimpses at what the broken seal means for the world. There’s alot of explanation and discussion in this issue. And it’s needed. This has been a quick moving series. So it’s nice to slow things down and get some things explained.

At the same time we get some more mysteries added to the story. Just who is Doctor Fox and why does his staff, the people from whom Lena escaped, have batons that can cancel magic?

There’s a lot going on and Price and Norton do a good job of keeping it all moving, but moving coherently and in a way that makes sense. The story doesn’t bog down. It moves at a good clip. The amount of explanation given can be overwhelming, but the team keeps it interesting and the reader doesn’t get bored.

They’re weaving an interesting mythos here and I hope it continues beyond this first mini-series which concludes next issue.

Isaac’s is a talent. Her work is great. There’s not much more to say about it. It won’t be long before she’s on a top tier book.
