X-Men: Not starring Stan Lee

CBM explains why Stan Lee won’t be in the next X-Men movie.

CBM quotes Lee’s Twitter feed:

Warriors mine, grieve thee not that I have no cameo in X-Men 1st Class. ‘Tis just that the movie was filmed too far away for me to attend

Bryan Singer, the brilliant director of X-Men 1st Class, is a good friend of your beloved Generalissimo and we all wish him well

But know ye t his, I have already completed my roles in Captain America and the new Spider-Man, so all is well in Cameo Land.

Apparently Lee blundered the director’s name in his tweets. Impromptu media feeds do occasionally lead to retractions. Lee later corrected that name of the X-Men First Class director to Matthew Vaughn with apologies.

Discuss the absence of Stan Lee and all things X-Men First Class on the discussion board.

Lee has become a staple in Marvel movies. Besides his cameo in Marvel Productions, he also has guested in Big Bang Theory, and starred in Kevin Smith’s Mallrats. Fear not true believers. Lee’s tweeted about Avengers.

Next up–The Avengers. Unless they shoot it on the Moon nothing shall keep thy leader from making his awesome presence known! Excelsior!
