Suicide Girls #2

If you’ve ever wanted to read a comic with the girls from G.I. Joe flashing their tits then you need to go get Suicide Girls, a hot gal team book on a zany adventure. According to the deviant art pages then many people have been wanting to see an all girl G.I. Joe team stripping down, so this IDW series should be an easy sale. Based on the Suicide Girls website, a popular site with non-traditional nude women, this comic has a zany story about a not to distant future and evil needing to be stopped. It is zany in a brain wave scanner sort of way.

#2 is a fitting follow up to the first issue. The creative team is consistent so the issue fitting into the mini series is not a surprise. This issue also contains another Cameron Stewart pin-up gallery. This issue helps to fill in more details about the dystopia setting and Frank’s past.

Suicide Girls are an urban legend of resistance. The worldwide network of SuicideGirls wants Frank to join, and Frank desperately wants to find her friend Xenia. But head SG Sana knows Frank isn’t telling the whole truth, and there’s no way they can fight AutoCorpe unless they find out what she’s hiding.

Monster trucks, video games, blogs, and fighting the powers that be. Did I mention the nearly naked, sword slashing, robot fight? Despite this comic being an adventure based comic you wouldn’t know it from the cover options. All 3 covers sell the girls more than the story. The gals are the driving force of the comic. Even the blogs and narration evokes the blog centered nature of the show and tell website. Despite that Grant Niles, Missy Suicide, and Brea Grant combined to write the story reminiscent of Larry Hama coupled with tattooed nakedness.

The comic can be ordered directly from the SuicideGirls website along with their other books, comics, and DVDs. The comic can also be found at your local comic book shop. One size fits all.

Check out the preview. Discuss the comic on the KittysPryde Forum.

Images like this make me think SuicideGirls needs to make action figures next.
