Excuse me as a rant for a second here..

This is one of my favorite books to read each and every month. Every issue is top notch. Every issue is well crafted. Every issue is fun. Every issue is just great.

Miller write’s a great Stephanie Brown. He handles all aspects of her life evenly. She’s got a great personality as both Stephanie and as Batgirl. She has her own niche in the Bat-verse and she fits it perfectly.

You don’t see writers that have such a natural and total feel for their characters as Miller does with Stephanie.

I will miss this book ALOT!!

This issue is pure Miller-Batgirl. Every page is well crafted and the dialogue is natural. There’s an instant connection between Batgirl and Squire. They connect as “sidekicks” and female heroes. It’s not a forced team-up. These two should be friends.

This is one of the best books on the stands.

Perez’s work gets better every issue he draws. Awhile ago I said that he should be the regular Batgirl penciler and it appears as if he is, at least until the series gets canceled and relaunched. His Stephanie and Batgirl are as well drawn and natural as Miller’s side of the character. His layouts and storytelling are great, making her movements seem fluid and natural.

Batgirl #22 receives
4.5 out of 5

This book, and creative team, should survive. The new team of Gail Simone and Adrian Syaf have big boots to fill to make the book anywhere near as good as the current team.
