I like the story that Hasbrouck is weaving. Each issue adds another layer.

I’m a big fan of Arthurian myths, so anything involving King Arthur or the Knights of the Roundtable is usually okay with me. Hasbrouck takes the parts that everyone knows and adds his own spin to it. He takes Merlin, a character that has always had a lot of mystery to him, and takes the concept of multi-dimensions and melds the two together in a way that works and makes sense. Being a multi-dimensional entitiy makes sense for Merlin, it would explain the secret of his knowledge.

Adding the concept that the Knights of the Round Table must always exist to protect the world is an interesting one. I like that Mina and Breeta are called to find the knights, not be knights themselves. That can set up some decent stories in the future. The grounds for the sisters to be jealous are being laid.

Breeta is an even more interesting character now. Hasbrouck has taken the standard “amazon” and by virtue of her being de-aged, given her some wisdom and experience that isn’t normally found in the amazon.

Guedes art is good. He draws the sisters very well and his dragons are excellant. He does a great job with the last pages transformations of the humans. It’s a nice sequance and he hits the transition phases very well.

I do wish he had chosen different layouts to show the interior of the bunker. The way the sisters were surprised by what was found inside I was expecting a more grander reveal. But that being the only complaint means the art was solid.
