Staic Shock #2

Static Shock #2 is one of the few 52 reboots that I am buying into since it is an actual restart for the character. Virigl/Static Shock is truly starting anew. In #1 the move to New York was explored. In #2 the action revs up and Static learns new things about himself. His powers seem to be changing since he left Dakota. He’s also attracting the attention of a higher class of bad-guy. The stakes are rising. This is as new as it gets at DC.

This issue brings in the Slate gang which is a color Tron-looking group of magnetic bikers. The maglevs are colorful but not quite fearsome. Their technology skills are apparently notable but have yet manifest on the pages of the comic.
