Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4-Review

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles#4 is the final piece of the Turtles’ mysterious origin and the family is reunited. The ugly mangy mutant alley cat’s allegiance is also expalined in this book. Couple that with a battle in New York and this is starting to feel more and more like a Ninja Turtles comic book, although I am still questioning the teenaged bit since this seems to be happening in 18 months.

Layouts and co-plotting by Kevin Eastman, original co-creator of TMNT! That has been making fans happy with this new product, but overall I am curious what the fan backlash will be to this issue. Psycho-drugs and mutagen may make the rodent master a slightly different critter than fans have read in the past. I’m a tad bothered by the fact that Splinter may not be genuine and thus the relationship and brotherhood could fall into jeopardy. Although it does open a great potential for riveting rioting story lines in the future.
