Wyoming Web Shooters?
Published on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 by

Goldbug, a Pryde Forum member, spotted an interesting BBC headline: GM Silk Worms Make Spider-Man Web Closer to Reality! Scientists from the University of Wyoming say that their eventual aim is to produce silk from worms that have the toughness of spider silk and can be reproduced artificially. Thus, this places them closer to figuring out how to make the web shooter that Peter Parker has been using secretly for years. Perhaps, they’ll also work on how to make larger cartridges so that he doesn’t run out at the worst possible moment.

The artificial web shooters are returning with the rebooted Spider-Man movie, so this discovery from the University of Wyoming is coming at a great time!
