SCAM #1 Sells Out, Available Only at Select Shops January 25

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 17, 2012
January 17, 2012 — New York, NY —
The first printing of SCAM #1 was limited to just 777 copies, and physical copies will be sold exclusively in a small number of select retailers who have chosen to support this exciting creator-owned title. “Our store always strives to stand out among the sea of other capable retailers. We look for unique opportunities to showcase quality products that are not part of the standard distribution method. After previewing SCAM #1, it was clear that this just happened to be one of those opportunities,” said Edward Greenberg of Collectors Paradise in Winnetka and Pasadena, CA. “The first issue is fantastic! A must read!” echoed Steve Falcon, of NewCastle Comics and Games in Maryland Heights, MO.

SCAM is “X-Men meets Oceans 11″ and involves a team of super-powered grifters on the biggest con of their lives…taking down a Vegas casino and getting revenge on a former teammate who double-crossed them.

SCAM #1 is the double-sized first installment of a five-issue mini-series, and marks the latest release from creator-owned publisher ComixTribe (The Red Ten, The Standard.)
Retailers were asked to choose from among three levels of support to be a part of the SCAM launch:

* Hot Table retailers purchased 10 or more copies of SCAM #1.
* Pit Boss retailers purchased 50 or more copies of SCAM #1.
* High Roller retailers purchased 100 or more copies of SCAM #1.

Pit Boss and High Roller retailers were eligible for store branded variants. The select retailers involved in the launch will have SCAM #1 exclusively for 30 days.

ComixTribe has green lit a second printing of SCAM #1 with a new variant cover, which will go to press on February 15 alongside THE RED TEN #2, scheduled for a February 29th release.
