Ghost Rider was panned by most comic book websites. The reviews are being posted for the sequel. How did it do?

ComicBookMovie.com posted their thoughts. The reviewer wanted more from the first movie and felt like it was delivered by the second. 3 1/2 stars out of 5 isn’t a bad review. It’s above average at least.

Rotten Tomato also gave a 3 1/2 out of 5 which is favorable. The script takes a beating.

CinemaBlendwatched the 3D movie and recommended not watching it after a big meal because of the roller-coaster effect of the action. 1 1/2 stars is less favorable. Cinema Blend was rough on the plot and flat characterization that seems devoid of development.

Phillip French seems to echo Cinema Blend’s thin plot between action sequences.

The Daily Mail has one of the positive reviews of this movie. They seem to be in the minority view point. Favorable print for Nic Cage being back in the blazing saddle still only translated to 3 stars.

Reviewer thoughts don’t always equate to audience response. In this case , the reviews are not favorable. However, the opening weekend numbers are not bad. Someone was watching.

Budget:
$75,000,000 (estimated)
Opening Weekend:
$22,115,334 (USA) (19 February 2012) (3174 Screens)

The film may have a rating from the MPAA and national and internet reviewers, but what do you rate it? What were your thoughts?
