If you’ve been reading my reviews and Quick Thoughts, you know how I feel about the current H.A.M.M.E.R. storyline in Avengers and New Avengers. I don’t like it.

I’m glad it’s over with.

But I was hoping that the final chapter would at least be good. No such luck.

This was a waste of a comic book. What a horrible ending. There’s been build-up in previous issues that Osborn has gotten some new powers. And the pay-off? Worthless.

I’m sure Bendis is trying to make a point, how it’s Osborn’s ego that brought him down. But that’s not how it played out. How it played out was that the science failed. He just gets overloaded.

Shouldn’t there have been two issues at least out of this? The first one having the Avengers get trashed and the second having them come back and defeat Osborn?

And how Iron Man takes out the Hand? Ugh.
