Venom #15

Well played Marvel, well played.I picked up Ghost Rider because I like the character. I thought it had promise but wasn’t that impressed. I only picked up Venom #13 to find out what was happening with Circle of Four, the revival of the new Fantastic Four cross-over. Now, I could still care less or more about Ghost Rider but I find myself picking up Venom #15 to see what happens next.

At the end of Circle of Four Venom was being accepted into the Secret Avengers fairly provisionally. Captain America didn’t seem to trust him but Red Hulk vouched for him and the science squad seemed to think they could find a workable solution.

One of my favorite Robert Kirkman Marvel Zombies vol 1 jokes pokes fun at how many advanced degrees make up the Avengers roster. Beast and Ant-Man/Hank Pym team up to figure out how to science up a workable solution for Flash Thompson retaining the Venom symbiote. It’s a doomed relationship but that seems to be part of the fun.

Venom #15 now makes me wonder what is happening in Secret Avengers. I’ll probably end up picking up a few issues to find out about Valkyrie and the gang shrunken onto the small space station.  Well played Marvel, well played.

Since I only picked up Venom because of the cross-over and wound up enjoying it, I am confused by what happened to Eddie Brock? I assumed he was dead. I thought I remembered him dying but that might have been before a reboot or something. I would like to know what happened to remove Venom from Brock, especially after reading Venom #15 . Since some familiar looking alien suit wearers are being hunted down…I want to know more about Brock.
