Final Pics From C2E2:Cosplay, DST, Show Floor and More!

C2E2 was a strange show, strange in a good way. In fact the word being used was weird. The overall vibe was strong and traffic was good but its hard to pinpoint the vibe that was flowing during the show. Fans came out in droves and cosplay was huge. There was an unannounced Shia Labeouf appearance which was fantastic and nerve racking. The lines were huge for him in artist alley and I do think many fans missed an opportunity to talk with him.

The one thing that made C2E2 a must hit show was the fans. Fans can make or break a show and trust me, the pics I have do not even scratch the surface of what was there. I can see why people flock to this show. The only major disappointment people had was the lack of “big” toy companies being there (Hasbro and Mattel). Diamond Select Toys was there and they were fantastic. They showed us some excellent collectibles and to me, they were a major draw to the show. The Battle Beast freebie was unexpected and people went crazy over them. Now if you missed your chance to get one we will have a contest soon that will enable a lucky fan an opportunity to snag one. Keep checking back for the details and start date for the contest.

Now the highlight of the show for me was the John Cusack panel and the private autograph session. Its not often I get to play the fan boy but this time I did. I was one of the lucky 100 to get a ticket to see John and it was worth the pain of getting up at 4am. The panel was awesome as he was promoting his new movie The Raven. The Q & A was entertaining but as a fan I was in heaven. Cusack made the show for myself and people really enjoyed his appearance. The lucky 100 got a free autograph and walked away with memories of a life time.

I do thank all the companies that did come out to the show; Mavel, DC, Diamond, Valiant and countless others made the show a success.  I am looking forward to next year as I know the show will be even bigger. Until then, check out our final gallery and mark the dates, see you next year Chicago!
