A staple of the Marvel movies, SHIELD Agent Coulson (played by Clark Gregg) will be making his comics debut in Battle Scars #6.

USA Today reported that in this week’s Battle Scars #6, the character from the movies will make his comics debut. Kind of. He’s already been in the comics, since Battle Scars #1. The latest issue will reveal that the friend of Marcus Johnson (newly discovered son of Nick Fury), Cheese, is Coulson. Cheese is an Army Ranger buddy of Johnson’s that has been helping him out.

“He’s the viewpoint of the audience. He’s the normal guy who’s encountering all this strange superhuman stuff and reacting to it,” said Executive Editor Tom Brevoort about the popular movie character.

Read the full article at USA Today and discuss it here. Make sure you pick up the latest issue of Battle Scars to see the full reveal.
