Chew Vol. 5: Major Leagues
Published on Friday, April 27, 2012 by

In a world where crazy agents are eating odd things to help solve crimes what is more American than baseball?Like most modern comics, the five issue story arc seems to be aimed directly at trade paperbacks. This week the 5th volume trade paperback of Chew dropped. It is a reasonably priced selection of zaniness.  This is a fun Harvey Award Winning series full of cartoony madcapness. Besides the awards, this is just a funny little funny book. Now is a great time to find out why this series is winning awards and being optioned for television.

If you’ve ever enjoyed Chew, then it is time for another mouthful.

Tony Chu – the cibopathic federal agent with the ability to get psychic impressions from what he eats – has been kidnapped. He was ambushed, knocked out, brought to a remote location, and bound securely. His captor intends to feed Tony from a menu of his choosing, to find out what Tony can see, in order to learn from him. His daughter Olive has been kidnapped for the exact same reason. Two kidnappers, two captives, and two very different outcomes.

Presenting fifth storyline of the New York Times Best Selling, Harvey and multiple Eisner Award-winner series about cops, crooks, cooks, cannibals, clairvoyants – and kidnappers!
