Quick Thought Reviews For The Week Of 05/30/12
Published on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 by

The last week in May was a pretty light one as far as comics went, but there’s always alot to talk about.

Wolverine & The X-Men #11
Published by: Marvel Comics
Written by: Jason Aaron
Penciled by: Nick Bradshaw

Don’t like these guys ink Bradshaw again. He’s got a unique style and the inkers in this issue took that away. What stands out about his work wasn’t here. The story was decent. I’m not liking the AvX story and the tie-ins just replay the same scenes over and over and the fights are just snippets and never have a resolution. I did like the realization that Logan comes to though, but not worth an entire issue for that little bit.

Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow #13
Published by: IDW Publishing
Written by: Chuck Dixon
Art by: Robert Atkins

Finding this series a little odd. Not sure why SE wants to rejoin/infiltrate the Ariashikage. SS seemed a little too eager to have SE back and seemed a little out of control. SS really bought that SE was the only one to survive the train?

Read: Wolverine #307, FF #18, Ultimates #11, X-Men #29, X-Men Legacy #267

    • Snake Eyes intent seems fairly clear as he goes after Zartan. I don’t know why Storm Shadow accepted him so quickly, but I don’t think it is as straight forward as it looks. Storm Shadow does seem out of control, but since his goal is to just bring down Cobra I don’t think he cares who gets hurt. I like the posh modern ninja hang out.
