The titles behind even more “All-New Marvel NOW!” teasers were exposed over the weekend’s “Inhumanity & All-New Marvel NOW!” and “Superior Spider-Man & Friends” panels.

NOTE: Thesecond set of teaser sheets and our thoughts on them can be found here.

“Inhumanity & All-New Marvel NOW!” panel, Oct. 12, 1:15 PM

The pre-NYCC teasers:

The titles behind the teasers:

  • “Defend” turned out to be a reference to a new Iron Patriot series from writer Ales Kot (who is also taking over the relaunched Secret Avengers as we noted in a previous article) and artist Garry Brown, due out in March 2014.

  • A new Ghost Rider series, appropriately called All-New Ghost Rider (debuting March 2014), was revealed behind the “Overdrive” teaser. More than just a simple title relaunch, writer Felipe Smith (Peepo Choo) and artist Tradd Moore (writer-artist responisble for Image Comics’ Luther Strode titles) are actually introducing a new host for the Spirit of Vengeance, an East Los Angeles high schooler named Robbie Reyes. Whether or not their Ghost Rider will be the same character that was recently announced as joining the Thunderbolts remains to be seen, although it’s not unheard of for multiple Ghost Riders and Ghost Rider-like characters to co-exist. We already do know this early that Smith and Moore’s take on the character will be radically different from prior incarnations of the character, as the “Rider” aspect of the character may very well be a “low-rider” reference instead of the usual biker reference as hinted by Smith in an interview:

The circumstances by which Robbie becomes our blazing anti-hero differ from those of his predecessors, and his vehicle of choice is the automobile; so in more than one way, this is the story of a different brand of Ghost Rider.

  • Perhaps the most obvious reveal of the “All-New Marvel NOW!” panels so far was the news that “Rad” teased a new Silver Surfer title. Dan Slott and Mike Allred’s Silver Surfer will launch in March 2014.

“Superior Spider-Man & Friends” panel, Oct. 13, 4:00 PM

The pre-NYCC teasers:

The titles behind the teasers:

  • Contrary to our primary guess, “Assassin” turned out to be about a new Elektra title (scheduled launch: March 2014) from writer Zeb Wells and recent Joe Shuster Award winner, artist Mike Del Mundo.

  • “Higher” is all about a Captain Marvel relaunch by writer Kelly Sue DeConnick and artist David Lopez. The renumbering is scheduled for March 2014.

  • “Hunted” sees the creative team behind Image Comics’ The Activity, writer Nate Edmondson and artist Mitch Gerads, taking on the Punisher in a relaunch of the series that will see the gun-toting vigilante relocating to Los Angeles. The Punisher relaunch is set for February 2014.

  • “The End” is a reference to the “Goblin Nation” storyline that is set to kick off in Superior Spider Man #27.NOW. CBR has the details on the arc that will see the Doc Ock-possesed webslinger face off against a new Green Goblin.

  • February 2014 will see the launch of a new New Warriors (“Newest” Warriors?) title from veteran comics and animation writer Chris Yost and Cyborg 009 artist Marcus To. The team roster includes Justice, Nova, Speedball, Scarlet Spider and Sun Girl, and what looks to be an Atlantean (perhaps the recently-revived New Warriors founding member Namorita or a younger relation), a younger version (maybe a clone?) of Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Gamora, and what we’re guessing is Spider-Man villain Alistair Smythe.
